New Vale for Africa Group launched

THE new Vale for Africa Group was launched by Professor Steve Tomlinson on Friday, May 21 at the HUB in Barry, attended by over 40 people including civic dignitaries from the Vale of Glamorgan County Council, Barry and Llantwit Major town councils.

Hosted by Jane Hutt AM, who spoke about the links that had been established with TOCIDA, a community development initiative in Eastern Uganda, with the support and inspiration of Maureen Owor, the health, education and social needs of African communities were described by Professor Tomlinson, who also chairs THET the Tropical Health and Education Trust.
